DAY 1 : Vilnius

Arrival in Vilnius, transfert to your hotel. Bike rental. Discover Vilnius, it's Old Town, which is part of Unesco World Heritage, the Cathedral Square, Pilies Street, St Anne‘s Church, the Gate of Dawn and many other beautiful places. Overnight at the hotel of selected category. 

 

DAY 2 : Vilnius – Trakai – Kaunas (30 km by bike, 80 km by train)

Morning cycle to Trakai, where you will be able to visit the 14th century island castle, housing an exhibition of findings, applied art, and remains of the Lithuanian Grand Dukes lifestyle. In the late afternoon, you will take a train to Kaunas. Overnight at the hotel of selected category.

 

DAY 3 : Kaunas – Raudone (65 km by bike)

In Kaunas, you should visit the Old Town : castles ruins, the Cathedral, the Town Hall Square, St George‘s church, and Čiurlionis art Museum if you feel like. Take a ferry on Nemunas river to Vilkija. Later continue  cycling along the river, you will be able to see Veliuona mound hill and the grave of the Grand Duke Gediminas. Then, you will get to Raudone, where you will discover its impressive 16th century castle. Overnight at Stasio Balsevičiaus Homestead in Raudone or similar.

 

DAY 4 : Raudone –Jurbarkas – Smalininkai – Viesvile - Vilkyskiai (70 km by bike)

You will cycle along the Nemuras river, and will get to germanised Klaipėda region where you will ride through woods towards Vilkyskiai. On the route, you can visit Jurbarkas town. Here is an impressive church and a beautiful manor house. You will also cycle through Smalininkai oak alley, with its 207 oaks. Then, you will be able to cycle through Viesvile Nature Reserve, which is worth seeing too. Overnight in a Homestead in Vilkyskiai.

 

DAY 5 : Vilkyskiai – Rambynas Regional park – Panemune Castle – Macikai - Silute (70 km by bike)

Cycle to Rambynas hill, you can hang around the Regional Park. Then, you will be able to see the impressive 16th-century Panemune castle. Passing by Macikai, you might want to visit Hermann Sudermann museum. Finally, you can go to Nemunas River Delta Regional Park, which is not far from Silute, where you can catch a glimpse of rare water birds. Overnight at the hotel of selected category.

 

DAY 6 : Silute – Nida (15 km by bike, 15 km by boat)

Morning cycle to Vente Horn to visit the 19th century lighthouse and to enjoy the breathtaking view of the Ornithological Station. Get to Nida by boat, crossing the Curonian Lagoon. Discover Nida, one of the most beautiful resorts in Lithuania. There, you will be able to climb up the Great Dune to have a stunning view of the sea.

DAY 7 : Nida – Klaipeda (55 km by bike)

In Nida, you can visit the fishermen‘s houses, Thomas Mann‘s summerhouse, the neo-gothic church, the old ethnographic cemetery and the Amber Gallery. Cycle along the Curonian Spit, and stop at the Dead Dunes, in Neringa, included into UNESCO World Heritage List, to see the panoramic view of the Curonian Lagoon and the Baltic sea. You also might want to Stop at the Hill of Witches, in Juodkrante. When you are in Klaipėda, a historic seaport and resort, you can take a ferry to the old town. There, you will be able to see the Mažvydas Sculpture Park, the Theatre square and many old streets and buildings. Overnight at 3* Memel Hotel in Klaipeda or similar.

 

DAY 8 : Klaipeda – Palanga – Riga (25 km by bike, 260 km by bus)

Cycle through the Seaside National Park to Palanga, where we suggest you to visit the Botanical Park and the Amber Museum. During the afternoon, return to Klaipėda to take a bus to Riga. Overnight at the hotel of selected category.

 

DAY 9 : Riga – Turaida – Sigulda (63 km by bike)

Morning cycle to Turaida, where you will be able to visit Turaida Castle complex. Continue your trip to Sigulda, through Gauja River National Park, where you will be amazed by both pristine nature and historical monuments. Overnight at the hotel or homestead. 

 

DAY 10 : Sigulda – Cēsis (36 km by bike)

Cycle through the rest of Gauja National Park, and enjoy its beautiful landscapes. In the afternoon, cycle to Cēsis, a lovely city that houses a great medieval castle.

DAY 11 : Cēsis – Riga (90 km by bus)

Come back to Riga by bus. Free time in Riga where you can stroll through the cobble-stone streets in the Old Town, and visit the Dome Cathedral, the Church of St Peter, the old Guild Houses, the Swedish Gate, the architectural ensemble three Brothers, St Jacob‘s Church, the Parliament House, the old Riga Castle, and also many wonderfully restaured buildings. Collection of rental cycles.

DAY 12 : Riga

Free morning to continue exploring Riga.

 

Private transfer to the airport. Departure.
