DAY 1 : Vilnius

Arrival in Vilnius, transfert to your hotel. Bike rental. Discover Vilnius, its Old Town, which is part of Unesco World Heritage, the Cathedral Square, Pilies Street, St Anne‘s Church, the Gate of Dawn and many other beautiful places. Overnight at the hotel of selected category. 

 

DAY 2 : Vilnius – Trakai – Kernavė (65 km by bike)

Two ancient Lithuanian capitals in one day! Morning cycling to Trakai (25 km) - the capital of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. Visit the 15th century Insular Trakai Castle housing an exhibition on prehistoric findings and applied art of 17-18th century, the way of life of the Lithuanian Grand Dukes, and the Karaites, brought to Lithuania from the Crimean Peninsular. Later continue to the first capital of Lithuania- Kernave (40 km). Here you will be able to climb 5 mounds and enjoy a superb breath-taking view of the river valley graced by the bends of the river Neris. Overnight in homestead  „Kernavės bajorynė“ or similar.

 

DAY 3 : Kernavė - Molėtai (69 km by bike)

Cycling to Molėtai – the threshold to lakes land. In surroundings there are around 300 lakes. The region is famous by clean nature and unique landscape. Molėtai district is famous also for ethno cosmological museum. Here you will be able to see different humanity relationships with the cosmic world – an ancient ethnic relations, the global measurements, calendars, astronomy, aerospace, etc. Overnight in homestead „Luokesų dvaras“ or similar.

 

DAY 4 :  Molėtai – Palūšė - Ignalina (61 km by bike)

Morning cycle Palūšė – the capital of Aukštaitija National park, resort town. Palūšė is considered as a mecca of water tourism. Lithuania pride - a wonderful natural playground. Later cycling to Ignalina. The town isfamous for its picturesque locations. The district is decorated with more than 200 lakes, several dozens of  rivers and ponds. Overnight at a hotel „Žuvėdra“ or similar.

 

DAY 5 : Ignalina – Ladakalnis - Ginučiai – Stripeikiai - Utena (64 km by bike)

After breakfast cycling to Ladakalnis - the Venice of Aukštaitija – one of the most beautiful places in Lithuania. Ladakalnis elevated 175 m. above sea level. On a sunny day you can see six lakes from the top. It is believed that this hill was the place of sacrifices to the ancient god dess Lada – the great mother of whole world. Later proceed to Ginuciai where you can visit watermill from XIX century keeping authentic equipments. Afterwards continue to Stripeikiai village - the oldest village in Aukstaitija National Park.  Ancient beekeeping museum in Stripeikiai is the only such museum in Lithuania. You can learn about beekeeping development from ancient times until today. Special hives with glass walls shows, how bees lives and gathers honey. Overnight in homestead in Utena „Alaušo sėnis“ or similar.

 

DAY 6 : Utena – Molėtai (52 km by bike)

After breakfast cycle to Molėtai. Cycling through scenic areas – a quarter of the territory is covered by forests, between then there are around 300 lakes. Overnight in homestead „Luokesų dvaras“ or similar.

 

DAY 7 :  Molėtai - Vilnius (67 km by bike)

Coming back to Vilnius. Overnight at the hotel of selected category. 

 

DAY 8 :  Vilnius

Private transfer to the airport. Departure.
